THE STORY BEHIND JALON ENTERPRISES

Hello, I am Jim Hiebert, owner of Jalon Enterprises. I would like to share some background history of our family run business.
In 1981 my wife, two year old son and I moved back to our hometown of Swift Current, Saskatchewan from High River, Alberta. After taking on some finishing and custom woodwork projects, we decided to form a construction company. We chose the name Jalon from a list of biblical names in the Hebrew lineage. Jalon means abide, abode or dwelling. Helping our clients with where they dwell has become the focus and mission of Jalon Enterprises.
In those earlier years I took on a variety of projects. These included finish carpentry, cabinet building, renovations, additions, concrete and framing, siding, shingling and custom home building. By 1985 I had also achieved Interprovincial Journeyman certification.

As time progressed and three more sons and two daughters were born, we brought our sons one by one onto the jobsites. Eventually all four sons joined the Jalon team, making this a truly family run business. We all enjoy working together and this in turn results in an efficient and organized crew where all our areas of expertise are utilized fully.

Our recent job project experience has been quite varied. Although our specialty in more recent years has leaned more toward finish carpentry and custom woodwork, we also have renovation and framing experience. Intermingled in our work schedule we  have also been involved in numerous commercial projects including schools and universities, assisted living care homes, Save on Foods, doctors office, and other business/ offices improvements. All these involved millwork and trim installations with shop fabrication by Jalon on some projects.

In conclusion, we would be pleased to discuss any project you have in mind and hope we can be of service in helping you achieve your goals . In our area of expertise, if it can be built we can build it.
